Would there not be mothers without children? Why not?

What is the unique transformation that children catalyze?

Surely many of us can mother another. Would we not know empathy naturally? What is the specific relationship between mother and child that defines mother?

Today, someone asked all the women if they were mothers. All said, as I recall, “yes.” Toast to mothers!
