Day 15 (8 May)

Walked early and easily to Sahagun.   Breakfast at Ledigos.

Walk became a bit social again. Malcom was a good match for pace, and good conversation. At morning tea, he said hi to Michelle. She walked with us. Michelle is a recent PhD from Imperial College London, so the pace and content of the conversation was pleasing and familiar.

Staying at Albergue de Madres Benedictas. Peaceful courtyard, small rooms.

Pilgrim benediction in the evening before meal. Seems time to find such a place, and settled by 1 pm.

Walk around town, needing eyeglass screwdriver. Midday meal in town.

Could have gone a bit more. Glad I did not. The blessing service was really good. At the end, the sisters asked each pilgrim to take a note from the basket. Here is mine:

“al que puede hacer mucho más sin comparacion de lo que pedimos o concebimos, con ese poder que actua en nosotros; a El la gloria por los siglos de los siglos.”

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21

Maybe in brief: Don’t worry, keep going!

Sat between two French men (I think), speaking French. Like the child between two adults, I smiled, ate, and said words occasionally. They were patient with me.
